    Judging by that picture absolutely!

#7 is the best glaze available IMO.

Once the paint is properly prepped it will look like you an swim in your hood.

Hard to say. The reflections look crisp, though hard to tell what the true color is.

Re: Question about Meguairs Show glaze

Hmmm.... looks like there might be some confusion about the products here. The "7" in M07 Show Car Glaze is just a part number; the 16 ounce bottle carries the full part number of M0716, for example. The Medium Cut Cleaner you used is part number M01 (fully M0116 for 16 ounces, M0164 for 64 ounces) and the "number 7 grade" you refer to is the overall cutting ability of the product on a scale from 0 - 10 (now 0-12 actually). For the record, M07 Show Car Glaze has a cut rating of 0 on that scale.

So, how do you obtain the best possible finish? Odds are that after using M01 Medium Cut Cleaner you'll want to follow up with a less aggressive product. But truth be told, M01 may not be the best product for use on a modern clear coat finish as it's a bit of an "old school" product. That said, if you've managed to get a nice finish thus far, you might want to try and refine it further with something like M205 Ultra Finishing Polish or even M80 Speed Glaze. While still a bit "old school", M80 has some very fine diminishing abrasives and plenty of polishing oils that will add a lot of gloss to the finish prior to waxing.

Yes, M07 will add some gloss, but the other two may add more clarity to the finish in the process.

but my car is an old 1996 subaru impreza not a new car. I kinda get ya show glaze is really just a polish and not a cutting compound.

Actually, you'd see more dramatic results on older paint.

Once the older paint gets those oils into it, it will liven up and look fresher! That is, unless, the paint has been maintained very well over the years.
