  • 105/205 Equivalent?

    All,

    I've been searching but I simply can't find any answer. If there is, please direct the link to me.

    My question is;

    What are the equivalent or the closest (Meguiras Professional product) to M105 and M205 that meant for >1 year factory paint?

    M105 => ?
    M205 => ?

    Many thanks!

    M95 has the same cut as M105 and M80 has the same cut as M205.

    M85/M83 is an an older combination which sometimes requires a follow up after M83 with maybe M82 (just to keep in the older cleaner/polishes).

      You can use #105/#205 on factory paint. Was that the concern?

        The fact that your paint is less than a year old has nothing to do with M105/M205....they work perfectly fine on brand new paint.

        However, there are some products in the consumer line you can pick up OTC that work similar to M105/M205

        M105 to Ultimate Compound (less cut though)
        M205 to SwirlX

        Hope this answers your question,

                Don't remind him that as of this posting 1/21/11 at 6:51am it is currently -26° (gasp) in his location. It is really hard to detail at that temperature even for a MN local. Then again, Rasky probably keeps warm by running his DA on 6. LOL.

                ps: nice work.

                    It was definitely a cold one this morning!

                    My car (via remote) did not start the first time, and apparently it was enough the reset the clock and radio too. My tires were all at 26psi so my TPMS light was on. My tires felt like stone going down the road and they bottomed out with all the packed snow in the wheel wells.....man I love MN!

                    Actually it's days like today that MOL could really benefit from a little "freezing" smiley.

                        There is a plus to this weather. If you can find a nice warm garage in which to detail, when you go outside you don't have to worry about slush and salt. It's all frozen solid.
