  • First Detailing - Here is the to do list...

    Hello everyone,

I'm a long time reader but new to the forum. I'm going to do a detailing to my car (Black Honda s2000) and this is what I have in mind:

    With PC 7424XP

    0. Wash and Clay
    1. Ultimate Compound - W8207 Pad (If necessary, SwirlX with W8207 Pad after UC)
    2. M07 Show Car Glaze - W9207 Pad
    3. NXT Wax 2.0 - W9207 Pad
    4. M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 - W9207 Pad

    Any comments or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!!!
    Carlos

Do a test spot before going straight to UC and polishing pad, may not be necessary to get that aggressive depending on the defect level.

Highly recommend you review Michael Stoop's posting about delicate paint (i.e. Honda paint). The posting covers will provide you with a lot of good advice.

Nxt 2.0 and M21 2.0 are more or less the same, no need for alternating them.

          Thank you guys!

What do you think about M83, M82, M80 or SwirlX instead of UC?

You might want to try a test spot with the Swirl-X first. You might not even need the Ultimate Compound.

I would say SwirlX and UC will be what you want.

#80 could be good if you were doing an older, silngle stage paint.

Or should I go with the new products?

                  0. Wash and Clay
                  1. Ultimate Compound - W8207 Pad (SPOT TEST)
                  2. Ultimate Polish - W8207 Pad
                  3. M07 Show Car Glaze - W9207 Pad
                  4. Ultimate Wax - W9207 Pad
                  5. M21 (if necessary)

Well, we havent had a chance to try the Ultimate Wax or Polish yet, so hard to give advice on those.

I would expect that if you have decent swirls, etc, then you would need a bit more cleaning ability (either SwirlX or UC maybe) than the Ultimate Polish would give. And I doubt the polish would need followed up with #7.
