I am not an expert, but maybe QD has some silicon in its formulation.

That's correct that Quik Detailer isn't body shop safe as it does have a bit of silicone in it. The main thing is that it's not safe to use in a body shop environment, it's not a paintable formula (it will potentially produce defects in paint like fish eyes during the painting process). Could you spray it on a car that has just recently been painted without harm? It would probably be fine. However, we would rather error on the side of safety and use a body shop safe/paintable product on fresh paint until it has cured properly. Typically, I'll recommend #34 Final Inspection on fresh paint as a result.

        Oh rats...

Rick, just yesterday I went over a section of 30-day old paint with M80 and had some minor streaking which I adjusted with Quik Detailer.

Would you suggest I repeatedly wash that section with say Gold Class to remove any remnants of Quik Detailer?

          David, I don't think it's necessary and I wouldn't be overly concerned, I'm sure you're fine.

Rick, Thanks for the additional comments.

With the recent snow, I'll be washing soon anyway. Just didn't know if additional attention was required to remove the QD.

            Thanks,
