      Re: ask about washing towel

I wash my microfiber towels in the washing machine with regular laundry detergent and then dry them in the dryer.

Do not use fabric softener. Fabric softener will leave a coating on the towels rendering the microfiber ineffective.

Wash all of your microfiber towels separate from other towels such as cotton towels because the lint from the cotton towels will stick to the microfiber towels and then you will have a real mess trying to hand pick all of the lint off of your microfiber towels.

I normally don't use a chamois, but if I had to wash one I would probably wash them by hand to be safe and let them air dry.

Use scent free detergent. Gentle cycle if using a machine. Add a half cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle (again, by machine). When the spin dry starts, stop the machine and reset to rinse cycle. Do not add vinegar this time, just a normal rinse cycle. Allow the towels to spin dry.

You can then allow the towels to air dry or use a low heat or no heat option on the dryer. Do not use any anti-static towels.

Honestly it's not that hard and would save you a lot more time if you just did it with the washing machine.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

              I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
              Remove swirls my friends.
