i have a question... i bought the w68 backing plate for the gg6 going to be using with softbuff 2.0 7 inch pads
1 cutting,and a few polishing n few finishing to start
ima be using it for my car,family car.friends cars.basically a side job.
ima be getting ultimate compound as of now and nxt gen 2.0 wax
but my question is would swirl x finish up nicely like m205? swirl x is a polish right?it has less cut then 205 or more???
or what can i use to finish up besides that?any good product that i would be able to get at an autozpart store?Don't get so caught up making a living that you forget to make a life.Comment

You would want to follow up the ultimate compound with the swirl x if there is any hazing left behind or you want a little more clarity out of your paint. I believe swirl x is more aggressive than M205, but should finish up quite nicely. You can also adjust how aggressive you are with the swirl x based on using a polishing or finishing pad for it.
Here is an article that might help you out with the order of aggressiveness of SMAT products:
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
