  • Fix Paint with Spray Can Clear Coat?

Hey Guys hope everyone had a happy holidays. I have a spot on the driver rear section where the clear is flaking off. It's been about 3 months now and the flaking has seem to stop to an area of about 1"x2". It looks like bubbles have popped. Well I don't want to spend the money for a full repaint and the surrounding area looks tip top fine. I think I must've burned that small section with my rotary. Would buying clear coat in a spray can and sanding, buffing etc... correct my problem? Would I be able to achieve at least the same shine like the surrounding area? Should I sand and clear the whole panel? The car is black. I have a Wool pad, and 2.0 pads and M105/M205 and M21 and a rotary. Thanks for your help! Love MOL.

Put a Meguiars decal over the area in question
