Why is Meguiars Gold class car wash better then other car wash's.
Are't they all just soap? I am new to this sort of thing.

I'll just give a quick answer, someone else will stop by and give a more detailed and accurate answer.

Gold Class offers a good dwell time as it doesn't readily run off the paint. It has great lubrication properties and helps your mitt glide over the surface to prevent creating damage to the paint. It rinses off cleanly and with little effort. Does not dry out the finish or the various trims on the exterior of the car. Mixes easily with water, even cool, luke warm or hot. May or may not be better than Ultimate Wash and Wax, but does not have wax in it.

When you get to this 'level' of detailing, the cleaning part is almost secondary. It really is the lubrication a soap provides, and being gentle to the wax, that are a big deal.
