  • Apply polish without removing wax

I was wondering if there was any value in applying polish when I know there is still a coating of was on the car? I primarily use polish (M07) to rehydrate the paint and improve sealant performance. So far I've used polish only after clay before M21 but can I used it without clay first?

You can apply M07 over a wax but it won't last very long. The only reason you would do that is if you were going to a car show or something. There's a reason it's called Show Car Glaze...... It would be a waste of M07.

I am a little confused. What is it you want to use without clay, M21 or M07?

It's the M07 I want to use without clay. My usual routine is: wash, clay, polish, wax. I WANT to: wash, polish, wax.

If the car does not need to be clayed then you can go ahead and do that routine. But, if there is still wax on the car, you may want to clay to remove the wax, then polish, thne wax again.

I dont think that the use of clay so often is good. Claying can cause swirls marks, Only use it fos smoothing the surface. For taking the wax off, use a cleaner, then polish then wax. For the ultimate shine use glaze alone, still it will go offin 1 week I think, thats we use wax over glaze. For auto show use glaze only.

You do not have to clay every time you wax. If the surface still feels smooth. Then go to the next step. Apply your polish then wax.

After washing, you could do the ziploc test. Place your hand in the bag. If it is smooth and gliding freely over the paint, skip claying.

Seems like two questions here: 1. Apply m07 over wax? The 07 may well remove the wax when it is removed. Still I can't imagine 07 performing as desired over wax - best to remove it first, then polish and wax. If your just looking for a quick boost try LT. 2. Clay always before 07? No, only if clay is needed.
