Question about rotary

I will recibe the rotary before I get the compounds and polishers, still when I get those I will practice first. So I will get the rotary and application pad (another, not the pad that comes with the machine).
My question is what speed I use to application of glaze, wax, etc??
Im thinking in the lowest speed.
