  • This forum is the best!

I must say this Meguiars forum is the best. After lurking for a good long while and educating myself, I took the plunge and bought a PC 7424, a number of Meguiars products, and Raggtopp.

So this past weekend, my '03 Boxster S got the treatment. I used the PC 7424 to apply #9, followed by #7, and two coats of NXT - conditioned and protected the top with Raggtopp by hand - then worked on the wheels and tires. I must admit the Boxster looked pretty good to start with but it gleams now!

I do have one question though. I've been using Meguiars Leather cleaner on the seats. But since my seats have little holes on the surface (thats the highly technical term!), the leather liquid gets into the holes and I have a devil of a time cleaning them out. How do you all clean leather seats without this hassle? A different product maybe?

If you ever decide down the road you want to post a picture in your message to share your results and passion with the community, here's a link to an article that explains how to do this.

How to put pictures into your posts

The technique for applying cleaners and dressings to perforated leather without getting the product into the holes, seam or stitching is to first apply and dampen either a foam applicator pad, or one side of a folded microfiber polishing cloth. Then apply to the surface to be treated much in the same way you'll see my daughter applying a spray wax to paint in the below pictures.

Hope this helps and Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Yeah, I've obviously tried that Mike. But when I get enough product on the microfiber towel to see it apply onto the seats, then I end up transferring to product from the towel to the holes! (I always like to see the product on the seat so I know I'm making a difference. Am I perhaps applying too much?)

also a great product to try for perforated leather might be meguiars gold class leather foam, i use it on perforated leather and it works great, smells great and is easy to control
just my opinion , welcome to meguiars by the way
