Final Inspection vs. Last Touch

Placing an order soon and grabbing some APC+, Hyper Dressing, the Glass Cleaner from the pro line, and one of the products in the subject line(or both)...so what are the general opinions of these products(Final Inspection and Last Touch), and what are the advantages of one over the other(or is there a need for both)?

Never tried the Final Inspection. Love the Last Touch. Always use it on the wife's car. Always has done a great job.

Final Inspection is body shop safe, and I believe tends to streak less. Very popular as a lube (just a mist) while using a rotary. I think it has something to do with the lack of oils as most QDs' have. Someone correct me if im wrong on that one.

Final Inspection is in the wishlist for me as well, to help with dried product removal when necessary. I've heard good things.

Last Touch is not safe for use in a paint shop environment, but that should not matter unless your painting cars. It can be diluted 1:1 for use as a clay bar lube or used straight as a quik detailer. It can only be purchased in gallon size.

Final Inspection, as was already mentioned, is safe for use in a paint shop environment. I can be used a a quik detailer or clay lube. It can also be used for priming buffing pads. It can not be diluted. It can be purchased in either 16 oz. bottle or gallon size.

I have used both products and they both work great, but if your not painting cars and you have a need for a lot of clay bar lube or quik detailer, Last touch would be more economical just for the fact that it can be diluted.

Can look at the clay bar replacement packs, or the pro-line clay as well then, since you wont really need the cleaner/wax or QD in the kit.

Last Touch is, for the enthusiast, the better all around product of the two. That's not to say anything at all negative about Final Inspection - if you're working in a body shop it is absolutely fantastic stuff and Last Touch would be a big no-no in that environment.

But for the enthusiast, Last Touch is a great mist & wipe that offers tremendous slickness, can be cut with water to make a highly economical clay lube, and in a pinch can be used as a rinseless wash by mixing a cup or two of LT in a couple of gallons of water (we caution against doing this on a really dirty car, however).

Out of curiosity, when you say cup, do you mean 8 oz?

Give or take - 8oz should be sufficient. Keep in mind this is not, technically, a Meguiar's recommended process but it can work quite well on light dirt when used with common sense. One of our mods, Mark Kleis, did a write up on this a year or more ago.

I have used final inspection its great stuff with little or no streaking, my dad paints cars so its safe in that in the paint shop also good for dealing before a show

It may just be me but Last Touch seems to add a bit of depth to the paint almost like a polish was applied. I love the stuff!

I have FI and LT plus M135 Synthetic Spray detailer.

My take is that M135 yields the highest gloss and seems to clean very well. LT is also great and leaves the paint really slick. It is also versatile in that it can be cut 1:1 and used as a general QD for claying. FI is ok, not quite as glossy or slick, but it is safe in a paint shop where the other two are not.

My "go to" is M135 as it contains the hydrophobic polymers and best gloss.

Last Touch is probably the most used product I have in the cabinet and perhaps my favorite megs product. I use it for everything but thirst quenching.

This is true... unless claying a lot, you may find #135 is even more usefull.
