  • Removing swirls from Pin stripes

    Guys,

Just wondering what product would you recommend on removing swirls from friend Ford GT500 hood stripes?

    Thanks,

I don't think you really can.

I'd hate to see the paintwork if his wash routine's ruined the vinyl stripes. Your best bet is to get them re done.

While it can be pretty easy to put fine swirls into those vinyl stripes, it's darn near impossible to buff them out. Vinyl just really doesn't lend itself to that sort of leveling. We've heard of people having decent results on clear bra material with PlastX or even M205, but that is a somewhat different material and, most importantly, that process is generally not recommended by the film manufacturer, and it is also not a Meguiar's recommended process. Proceed at your own risk.
