  • Scratches/swirls in white paint

    Hi All,

I noticed today after my wash and quick wax that I have quite a few swirls and fine scratches in my paint, I had not really noticed this before, but was quite obvious under my garage lights tonight.

    My car is white.

I want to get these corrected before I go ahead and do my next Color X/NXT application. Can you guys recommend what I should use?

I have ultimate compound at the moment, would it be best to go over the whole car with ultimate compound and then follow this up with color x and NXT?

I ran out of my scratch x 2.0, I am thinking I should just go over the car with the ultimate compound?

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks

    Clarky

One of the processes the wise ones preach on this forum, is test spot.

Try it on a test spot then work the rest of the car evaluating each panel or even 2' x 2' area as you go.

Are you working by hand or machine? What applicators or pads are you using?

Solid advice & try the least aggressive product first then step it up if needed. White hides well so you may not have to get too aggressive. Good luck!
