I have used the Meguiars Ultimate Compound along with my gl110v2 to get rid of 90% of the swirls on my black 2006 350z. However, there are still some swirls that just won't lift out. What is the next product I should use to take them out? The UC just isn't cutting it and I don't know what to use next. Thanks in advance!

Re: Whats after the UC?
How many passes of UC did it take to remove 90% of the swirls?
If only 1-2 passes of UC (assuming Megs yellow pad & speed setting 5), you can probably remove the remaining 10% with another 1-2 applications.
If you already have 3-4 passes of UC - may need to use 105 the remove the remaining swirls. NOTE: if you use 105, may need to follow-up with UC or 205 to remove slight hazing).
Also want to consider the effort to remove the remaining 10% of swirls may take another 75% in effort (i.e. can you live with 90% reduction in swirls).Andy W.

Re: Whats after the UC?
Yeah, #105 would be next, but your technique alone may cover the last 10%.
Also, being sure they are the same swirls/scratches, and that you aren't causing marring from using a strong product.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Whats after the UC?
Hey guys, its been a while but I finally got the time to do another pass with the UC. Let me just say thanks! I was at speed 5 applying light pressure and actually removed all visible swirls from my black 350z. Honestly, I can't thank you guys enough for recommending me another pass, it really solved my problems and fix my crazy OCD with these swirl marksNow I just need to find a way to boost the shine and deepness of the black on the car besides waxing it every three weeks with NTX 2.0
Any suggestions? I use the Quik wax a fair amount, but I feel like there is something else I can be doing to increase the shine on it. Thanks!

Re: Whats after the UC?
Glad to hear you were able to remove the remaining swirls with additional passes of UC.
If you want to boost the shine & depth - try applying a polish like M7 or Deep Crystal Polish prior to NXT.
I've also heard people applying Gold Class Wax or #26 on top of NXT to increase "depth"Andy W.

Don't be shy about applying pressure. You need to apply constant and sustained pressure but just not enough to stop the pad from spinning.
Choice of wax is just the cherry on top. The real improvement in gloss comes through polishing.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
