  • polish on, raining Sat, still need wax-help

    Hi,
Winterizing or trying to, my vehicle. I am done with the polish step, next is wax. but, I am tired, and i have it all done through the polishing step, but I just found out I have to drive it tomorrow, and it is suppose to rain. well, what do I do?
    Can I wax on Sunday?
I tried to get it all done, but my arms are just pooped.
    advice please!
    thanks!

Although the water will temporarily bead from the just plolished surface, I recommend that you at least use Ultimate Quik Wax or Ultimate Quik Detailer to put some protection on it. After it rains though, you're going to have to wash it again.

The rain may wash off some polish, and washing after likely will also.

If you care, you can wash, then re-polish and wax.

      Or just wash and wax.

If you wax correctly it should take very little effort to apply/take off. Or like stated above use a spray wax.

I'd hurry up and wax it so you don't have to do all the steps all over again and all that time you just spent on it isn't wasted! When I paint clean, polish and wax and it rains, usually all I have to do is go over my car with Quick Detailer and it's right back to the way it looked after i waxed it. Use some Quick Wax Spray too if you need to.

If you have to drive in the rain. You would have to re-wash, polish, then wax your vehicle.

              hi!
Thanks! I have it almost all waxed. I won't be leaving for another couple of hours. Should I put anything on it after the wax to give it an extra protection from the rain?

Waxing is the final step I believe, if you have time again, then just do another light coat of wax for maximum protection.
