However, I am still a bit confused about the interior detailer. Should I go with the QID or UP? If anyone has tried both products then kindly suggest...

These are vastly different products. UP is a water based, polymer enriched vinyl and plastic dressing that provides UV blocking in a long lasting, non greasy dressing. QID is a mist and wipe product for removing light dust, finger prints, etc from all interior surfaces. It's basically the same idea as using Quik Detailer on your paint, except it's specially formulated for interior surfaces.

UP is is great for fully dressing the interior every couple of months, while QID is a light duty dusting/maintenance product suitable for weekly use (or more often if you like to drive with the windows open or you have a convertible and top is always down).

Yeah, I will use a dressing every 4-6 weeks, then dust with QID lightly on a cloth every week and a half or so as needed, esp during summer.

Perfect! That just solves the confusion in my head. However, to apply UP a second time, is it necessary to clean/prep the surface again? Or just apply UP directly?
