Hi,

1-ColorX is it a cleaner wax or cleaner polish?

2- How to apply it, like a wax (just leave it on the surface 2 dry) or like a polish (rub and remove).

>>>3- I focus only on using the wax. I don't prepare the surface always for waxing because i don't want to reduce the thikness of the paint. I'm I thinking in the right way ? Are the polishes, claying and cleaner waxs reduce the thikness of the paint ??

1. Cleaner/Wax.... though it has cleaners/polish/wax in it.

2. Yes, apply it working it in a little, let dry, and then remove.

3. Using products gentle by hand wont reduce anything. No reason no to do a little prep, it only helps your results.

A good simple detail is:
1. Wash
2. Clay
3. ColorX
4. Wax - Like Nxt 2.0, Gold Class+, other favorite.

You're gonna get much better results following Murr's steps. ColorX alone won't give any major correction power.

Diminishing. As of right now, D151 is the only SMAT Cleaner/Wax. But another 5 hours and 15 minutes might change that..........

Don't you think it is better using Paint cleaner than ColorX for step 3? And reasons please..

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

As an AIO product, ColorX cleans, polishes and protects in one step. However, a product dedicated to just one of those steps is more effective than one that does all three.

The detail steps I listed are for a quick simple detail.

As mentioned above, if you have other goals, then sure a paint cleaner could be better.

So which product do you suggest for a black new car? And is the rubbing compound strictly for scratch removal?

You would not use a rubbing compound or Ultimate Compound, etc unless there were defects to remove.

For a new car, you can do either the above quick detail, or you could look at a more complete detail like:

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Clean - SwirlX
4. Polish - (optional) - Deep Crystal Polish
5. Wax - Nxt 2.0, Gold Class+, etc
6. Wax

Being a new car, hopefully it is in good shape, but may have some defects already?

Yeah, SwirlX is the mild cleaner now.

You can apply it gently for mild cleaning, or with more passion for some defect removal.
