    Hello All,

I am new to detailing, what product should I use to keep my car shiny and wet look!..

Currently, I use Meg's product below:

Ultimate Compound & Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax..

Ultimate Compound -> because currently I want to remove water spots and other soft scratches

and I did not have DA..

    What product should I use?

    I need advise

    many thanks in advance

    Regards

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you looking for alternatives to your current products, or products to use in between waxes to keep your car shiny and wet looking?
    Best Regards,

You are correct to use the ultimate compound to clean your paint. Try a 2x2 area, and use a lot of elbow grease. We call it passion around here.

Then you should be able to use your wax.
      quality creates its own demand

thanks, what's your product recommendation to keep my car shiny and wet looking..

is it enough to apply Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax after the car washed and dried?
how long should I re-apply it?

        many thanks in advance

If you want shiny and wet-looking, use NXT Tech Wax 2.0. It does a great job at this. Ultimate Compound is also great so it's good that you have that. I also recommend using SwirlX for light scratches and swirls and Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit. The clay kit is a biggie. Claying the car alone will make it very shiny and in some cases, "wet" looking. After you do this, apply SwirlX or Ultimate Compound, and then NXT 2.0 Wax, you will be good to go!

doubt it, it does remove a very thin layer of cc everytime u use it. Why would you want to use it everyweek? i think your getting ahead of yourself. Its a pain to use it once a month, let alone 52 times a year LOL

                Re: New to detailing

so, it should be used only if I want to remove scratches and or water spots ..,am I correct?

so.. is it enough if I only use Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax after my car washed and dried?.. or is there any product should I use prior or after applying Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax ?

                thanks

                  Re: New to detailing

The principle here is to always use the least abrasive product needed to get the results you want. Ultimate Compound is only needed if you have correction to do. If your paint is in good shape-no scratches, holograms, swirl marks, you don't need it. You may only need to apply a cleaner wax or just a plain wax. I only use a cleaner/compound every few months and then at least once a month use a pure wax like M26 or Gold Class which has some polish and gives a rich wet look. In between waxes, I wash my car about once a week and use a spray wax booster. You can use Megs UQW. I have used that, but I prefer Mothers Reflections Spray Wax. I feel it gives a richer more wet look.
                  Best Regards,
                  Scott

                    Re: New to detailing

I just wanted to add that Ultimate Compound is only one of three choices in the Meguiars consumer line of cleaners/abrasives. There is also SwirlX and ScratchX.

                      Re: New to detailing

Yeah, no Ultimate Compound every week. If you needed UC every week, then you'd have to be taking the car to an automatic touching car wash, which you shouldn't be doing.

Like I said before, wash the car with Gold Class or Ultimate Wash and Wax, clay the car, then use SwirlX, ScratchX, or Ultimate Compound, depending on how badly scratched the car is... Finally, apply a wax like NXT Tech Wax 2.0, Gold Class Carnauba Wax, etc...

                      And one more thing:
