I always wash in the sun b/c I have no other choice. However, my method for working in the sun is quite different from Meguiars recommended procedures and other directions.
I rinse the car down for a few minutes, wash from the top down but I do not rinse the soap until I have washed the entire car. Yes, I leave the soap solution to dry on the surface. I have found that I have a lot less waterspots when I wash the car via this method then when I constantly rinse every 40 seconds. That's my process and it works for me.Tedrow's Detailing
