Washing in the sun??

Now that fall is here and the sun is not nearly as strong does the rule of not washing in direct sun light still apply..

I always wash in the sun b/c I have no other choice. However, my method for working in the sun is quite different from Meguiars recommended procedures and other directions.

I rinse the car down for a few minutes, wash from the top down but I do not rinse the soap until I have washed the entire car. Yes, I leave the soap solution to dry on the surface. I have found that I have a lot less waterspots when I wash the car via this method then when I constantly rinse every 40 seconds. That's my process and it works for me.

Yeah, dont have to worry as much aboout the sun when it is cool.... it is just surface temp that matters, nothing to do with light.

It is not as bad to wash in the sun when it is cooler. I actually enjoy it this time of year.

I'm with Murr on this one. Has everything to do with how quickly the product will dry/react on the surface. Whether it be soap or wax.

You will be able to wax it also in the sun when it is cool.
