    Re: Turtle Wax

I heard once that most of their products are quite more abrasive than Meguiar's.. for example my friend used two products of TW to polish and wax his white Acura Integra and got a nice paint finish, and I did the 5 step car care cycle of Meguiar's on my Fairlady Z and the results are amazing even by hand....! my friend says that the paint looks and feels the same but his girlfriend says that mine looks way better than his... jeje and she even put a box on the top and it slipped...! like Magic... I love Meguiar's..

      Re: Turtle Wax

I once tried TW ICE on my black bumpers as no trim product could cling to them, so I figured a wax marketed as clear even on trim might. Disappointed.

However, I use their bug & tar remover (only choice for such product at local stores), which works OK and their carpet & upholstery cleaners which do the same job for less $$ compared to others I tried (yes even Meg's !)

        Re: Turtle Wax

Of the several series of TW products produced, Platinum Series was by far the best and an excellent product range. While it's not available in the US anymore, it's still available in Europe and Asia. When it was first introduced it was equal to or better than anything available, including Megs. Since then, TW has gone backwards and Megs has progressed in leaps and bounds.

i like you Q , years ago when i didn`t know a lot about detailing i wash my car and put a good thick coat of wax , "the more the better protection" was my moto at that time.
took me and one of my friend 2 hours to get that **** out of my car , plus was dark color and ocasional sit in the sun with a nice thick coat protection ready for removal.
my friend still remember that day and make fun of us.
