  • Problems with the G110v2 D/A.

    I have a problem with my D/A. The problem is that you have to hold the cord at a certain angle so the buffer actually turns on. The angle is you have to hold the cord ON the buffer tightly. If you give it any slack the buffer will turn off. Obviously this is a electrical problem. Does Meguair's offer any warranty? I bought this D/A earlier this year around March so its not old at all. I never dropped it/pulled the cord to unplug it or anything of that nature. It started happening about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

    I would contact the store you had purchased it from and if not satisfied I would contact Meguiar's directly. I'd be very surprised if they didn't look after you with complete satisfaction.

        Just recently had a problem with one of mine and sent it to Meguiars with a copy of the receipt ( also bought mine from Autogeek ) they returned me a new one.

              Simple answer. Call the Meguiar's Customer Care center. They'll take care of you. They have a forum on here too but for something like this, they prefer you call.

              1-800-347-5700
              Hours: M-F 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific)
              Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Pacific)


              And of course if for some reason that didn't work, you can call AutoGeek.

                      Mine just broke too this morning...second time. On to Customer Service......TG I had my 7424xp PC to finish out my customer vehicle....

                            This particlular unit was replaced back in June of this year and has been used on maybe 5 or 6 vehicles. I was doing a customer's car the other day when the DA began shorting out (turn off and on) as you moved the unit around. Moving the power cord would make and break contact....just as the original unit did. Spoke to Customer Service who will make it right, but once again it's the shipping costs and waiting another 7-10 business days for a replacement. UGH!! I won't give up on this unit however...it's awesome....when it works!

                              Oh wow, well hopefully they'll bring out a "G110v2.1" with a fix for that, and then give you one for free when they do. I'm glad I still have my original G110 now!
