Just bought a new Tacoma. Dealer attempted to sell me the Scotchgard Protection Package. Of course I passed, but how about the Scotchgard Paint Protector that helps protect your car from 'bugs, tree sap, bird droppings, etc." Must be "magic". http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...ectionPackage/

Basically just insurance.......out of 10 people they sell this to, they probably only get 1 claim.....so guess who wins = DEALER DEALER

If it is something small they just correct it inline in the back with the detail dept. If it's not correctable, then that's when the dealer has more of a cost involved to repair the problem. Dealer still wins on these, and financing makes even more, lots of profit in this one.
