  • Silver swirl marks

    Good morning guys
I'm asking this question early in hopes I can have an answer when I get home from work. I'm working on 2008 Taco that has a blinding silver paint. When I pull it back in the sun to look at my test spot, I cant see the results of my test because of the glare . Has anyone got a suggestion as to what I can do to get by this problem? The paint feels great but as we all know those swirls can do a good job of hiding . Any help for this amateur?

You might have to get a brinkman light to check the progress on this one.

Sunglasses? To let the sun continue to reflect through the swirls but not blind you as well.

I use sunglasses to do sun checks on silver, gold, white etc.

        Polarized lenses are best.

I've found usually a standard flashlight is not bright enough for this. Mark hit the nail on the head with polarized lenses.

I guess I must be getting old. What is a 2008 Taco? I get my Tacos at Taco Bell and never have to detail them before eating.
