Hey Guys
I really want to thank all of you ( and you know who you are ) who have taken there time and energy to teach me the hows and whys of detailing . I've printed and kept a lot of the post that I felt like could help me in the future. Not only have you taught me about the different Meg. products but you have taught me how to use them. I finally got up enough confidence to take on my first customer. It was a 1997 Lexus 300 ES with only 47000 miles on it! The car looked like it had lived its whole life in a automatic car wash., swirls to be unbelieved . I started with some UC and a orange pad and worked my way down the product list. I was very pleased with my paint correction BUT ....the color of this car was a type of champagne and was very unrewarding in the end . I looked at the paint with a magnifying glass .....and to my surprise I removed almost all the swirls, because of the color of this car you couldn't look at the car in the sun to check for swirls in the traditional method,(it would blind you.) The car was very wet looking but just didn't seem to POP. If I had corrected another darker Lexus in the same manner I feel sure it would have been a much more pleasing outcome to me. Anyway ....I'm beginning to ramble....just thanks to yall for the help and maybe I'll continue to learn......
