  • odd scratches/swirl marks

    Hey guys (and gals),

I just finished washing my 2008 Honda CRV. I only have one sponge, so I use a rag to wash the very bottom part of my car and the license plate (those parts get really dirty and I do not like to use my clean sponge on them). Today I finished washing the license plate, and then randomly decided to quickly clean the six inches to the left of my license plate (that part was very muddy). After I was done cleaning it, I noticed several hideous marks! I almost fainted at the horrific sight! They are not deep scratch marks by any means, but they are certainly noticeable!! They follow exactly the circular pattern I used to clean that section. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why it happened. I have used the rag before for similar cleaning details, and never detected any problems. Regardless of that, I desperately need some advice on how to remove these marks!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to say without seeing, but it sounds like you had some debri attached to your rag

I'm going to assume you are going to try and correct this by hand and with products purchased OTC. Unfortunately I have little expierence to what products are avalible OTC and which ones work, and which ones don't. It does seem that Ultimate Compound gets alot of buzz, followed by ColorX

Good luck and welcome to MOL
