Anyone here ever used the Mr. Clean Auto Dry car wash "unit"???

I saw one for sale last night at a discount clothing store for $5.00! When they first came out I am pretty sure they were over $20.00, so it's a good deal.
Or is it? Would anyone here on the forum use this? Your thoughts, please.

I think it's a case of yesterday's "Hype" on tomorrow's "Clearance rack". Never had used it, nor never will.....Mr Clean has it's place when it comes to house and bathroom cleaning, but definitely not for quality car care....JMO

Stick to conventional car wash products and methods using Meguiar's....you will find many threads on the subject in here, and you wont be disappointed.

The soap is useless, and leaves a film.

Some have used the water filter just to rinse, but gets expensive. But if you can find a lot of the filters cheap...

I used to use it for the deionized water filter, but I have switched to ONR for my weekly washes and don't need it any more.

Even when I do a traditional washing, I have found that flood rinsing is more effective that the deionized rinse. Every so often I fill the soap chamber with Megs Gold Class and use it to pre-soak my car's paint (kind of a cheap foam gun), but on the whole I rarely use the Mr. Clean car wash system.

Thank you to those who have posted thus far. I hope more will post their opinions. I trust the ladies and gents on this site more than those doing reviews on this product elsewhere on the web. I use a miracle gro type hose attachment for my cheap foam gun and it works well for me. . I still may give it a try.

I have one in the garage somewhere with about ten filters I bought off eBay. Was planning to get rid of it all but it is all basically valueless now. I think I used it twice and was not impressed. It was not worth what I paid for it, and at $5.00 it is still garbage in my opinion.

The TV commercial for the Mr. Clean device showed the car magically "self drying" after the DI water rinse. I couldn't get that to work for me. Don't waste your $5.
