  • Give me some help with my new Porter cable

    Hey Guys
My PC XP came today and like everybody said I would do , I love it. I knew I would have some questions, so please give me some in sight on the use of the DA. 1. What number do I run it on while doing some lite cutting with a polish?
    2. Whats the number for applying and taking off the wax?
    3. How often do I clean the pads when I'm using it on a paint thats not in bad condition?
    4. How quick can I use the pads after I've cleaned and washed them, can they still be a little wet when I put them back to work? I don't have many as of yet so I''ll have to get by with what I've got .
5.If the pad becomes saturated with a product can I just wipe the pad with a clean cotton towel? If I can get these answered I can get back to work on the Taco early Sunday morning. You guys were so very right when you told me that I would wonder " Why didn't I buy one of these sooner"? Thanks so much guys!

Hi Allman Bros fan. Here is a link to a thread that will help with some of the questions. It really helped me when I got my PC XP. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...speed+settings. I hope this helps.

Another thing you can do is pick up a bunch of pads. That way you dont have to worry about washing them right away to get back to use. Also you dont want to mix products on the same pad while in use. I went a bit overboard and ordered 18 pads, but I will have more than enough to do a full detail, UC, 205, pure polish, NXT, and Carnauba plus.
