  • Gold glass over NXT on white paint

    Hi All,

I am from Australia, I have a white Holden Commodore SS. I was curious, would I get a good result on white paint by applying Gold Class wax over the top of the NXT, or would this not show much benefit on white paint?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Welcome!

Honestly, your probably better off applying two coats of NXT 2.0 rather than topping with Gold Class. NXT has longer lasting protection and hydrophobic technology. GC is made more for darker cars anyway.

Tough question to answer since it is a personal preference. Some like NXT, some like gold class, and some like nxt topped with gold class. Also white is a hard color to tell a big difference. That being said, i prefer carnauba (like in GC) as a final coat for my white car.

Yes it is okay. It boils down to what you think. If you like it, do it.

I used some NXT 2.0 on a white Corvette and boy did the paint pop! That seems to be the general effect of it, that being to pop with color, very brightly and with great protection. I also love the Gold Class (for more "classic" paint schemes and luxury cars for some reason) but on white-white and non-pearls I prefer the NXT.
