You would want to wash, clay, and use a cleaner, as #5 is polishing oils only.
What strength cleaner of course depends on the defects, if any. SwirlX would be a general starting place for mild-medium cleaning.
Incidentally, not knowing why you picked #5, #7 is more top of the line. #5 is best in a high humidity environment.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
