  • Help using SwirlX and a DA polisher

an excellent thread, great work.., just some questions it says when applying pure polish work it in for a few mins, how long?, when a light film is visible, also a larger area can be worked on compared to cleaner step right, also what is the maximum amount of area Swirl X can be worked on because i am planning to clay the car and then re clean and wax it, i suspect only very minor hazing etc could be caused i only need to remove these, not major defects, i only have about half a bottle left, at the moment i'm in a bit of two minds wther to apply by hand or DA, as i'm not sure it will be enough to use with DA, cheers.

    anyone please?

A pure polish is like a hand lotion, it just needs massaged around. How long would one work lotion into their skin, 10-20 seconds for an area?

Yes, pure polishes and waxes will tend to go further.

also what is the maximum amount of area Swirl X can be worked on because i am planning to clay the car and then re clean and wax it, i suspect only very minor hazing etc could be caused i only need to remove these, not major defects,
The less correction, the bigger an area you can go over. But that said, you dont want to put too much on the pad at once. I think a 2 foot square would be about the limit, otherwise not enough product to go around.

i only have about half a bottle left, at the moment i'm in a bit of two minds wther to apply by hand or DA, as i'm not sure it will be enough to use with DA, cheers.
A half should do one car....
