  • Waxing wiper arms??

Does any here wax their cars wiper arms or do they just use a dressing, I was thinking about use nxt2.0 on my wiper arms, they are painted metal right so it shouldnt leave behind a white residue right?

I typically wax my wiper arms with the NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. As long as the paint on the wiper arms is smooth, and not textured paint, you'll be fine. If they had a bit of texture to them you could always use the Ultimate Quik Wax as an alternative.

After a few years, black wiper arms are no longer "black". I've used M03 or M07 to polish them a bit. The combination of oil content and mild cleaners will usually return them "back-to-black" (oops-that's somebody else's phrase). A good wax will help them stay black for a while.

They r smooth, could i use colors to bring back the black then use nxt2.0 to keep them
Black, and if I have let's say a dressing on them
Like back to black what can I use to remove it before apply the wax

I don't know what you mean by "colors to bring back the black", but either a general purpose cleaner, such as Meg's APC or a solvent, such as paint thinner will remove the dressing.

I've never tried Color-X on mine, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work

I use ColorX on mine. They are still nice and black.

ColorX is actually fantastic on wiper arms - go for it!

colorx will also remove the dressing that i have on it, so i dont have to clean it with a cleaner to remove the dressing

Wow! 11 posts just on waxing wiper arms. My wife thinks I've gone over the edge in keeping our cars clean. Wherever "over the edge" is, it's nice to know I have good company there!
