Re: Colorx stronger then Cleaner Wax?
It is stronger. Meguiar's calls ColorX a cleaner/ wax on steroids.
The next product up would be M66 Quick Detailer and then D-151 Paint Reconditioning Cream if you look for 1-step application.
However it's recommended to follow up with your favorite wax for extra paint protection.

Re: Colorx stronger then Cleaner Wax?
ColorX is stronger, but would not be my choice for real defect removal, which is where SwirlX would start to come in.
What problem were you having with the SiwlrX?2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Terrible working by hand. I have used it 4x's now on my 08 Black Sahara 4-door, even with working small sections, didn't think it took off anything, water-spots, bug juice, really anything. Thought about sending my last bottle in for a refund. Dont even get me started on swirl marks!!

Re: Colorx stronger then Cleaner Wax?
I doubt ColorX will solve that then.
May need to go stronger, or check application technique. Or perhaps someone else will have worked on that before and can help.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

A Corvette may be a whole lot faster than a VW Beetle, but it's still going to be destroyed by a Formula 1 car. Everything is relative, and it sounds like you've got a situation where a dedicated paint cleaner is what's needed. Something like Ultimate Compound, especially if you're working by hand on some stubborn issues and relatively hard paint.Michael Stoops

Re: Colorx stronger then Cleaner Wax?
How hard is UC to apply by hand ? Does it take as much "elbow grease" as Swirlx did ? I started with the least agressive product as I have been told a "million" times on this forum. But the amount of work I put into using Swirlx with poor results I would hope UC wouldn't require as much "elbow grease".

I dont recall hearing Sahara's mentioned often when people talk of hard to work on paint, but anything is possible.
Doing a small test spot would give the answer.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

In this case specifically, if Swirlx is not getting the job done with maximum effort then UC is probably not going to get it done with minimal effort and shouldn't be looked at as an effort saving solution. You'll need to look at UC as a separate solution than Swirlx. In other words, completely forget about what effort you used when applying Swirlx and start from scratch using UC. Do test spots, as Murr said, to determine the amount of elbow needed to get the job done with UC. Also, on your test spot, after you use UC, then use Swirlx to finish it out. That way you can tell the overall result of the effort as you'll likely need both products."The Dude Abides"

The other comment about going more agressive in product doesn't mean less elbow grease was crazy to me. If I go stronger it SHOULD mean less effort not the same or more.
