Needed products for New truck

I just bought a new dark gray 2010 Toyota Tacoma and would like to know what Mag products do I need to keep on the shelves to use with my Porter DA to keep my paint looking like its show room fresh. I just used the clay on it with great results. I don't want to have to run to the store every time I want to detail, so I need to keep a good range of products here at home.

congrats on the new taco. i have a 2007 that i bought brand new. mine is black sand pearl. how do you like it so far?

anyway, i'm probably not what you would call a "detailer", so my collection might not be as thorough as some of the other guys on here. my next detail on my taco will consist of a some gold class wash, clay kit, swirl-x, deep crystal polish, coat of nxt liquid wax, and a coat of s100 carnauba wax. along with some ultimate protectant for the interior, hot rims all wheel cleaner and some hot rims tire gel. i've got some pretty bad water spots on my glass, so i will probably end up picking up some MO4 and applying that. unless your new paint is in bad shape, you could probably skip the swirl-x. i'm doing that to remove some water spots on my paint.

you might also want to keep around some ultimate quik detailer to remove stuff like bird droppings and small traces of dirt. and some ultimate quik wax for a little more protection and water beading in between waxes.

5) Microfiber towels (can never have enough)
6) Foam applicators
7) Foam buffing pads
8) NXT Tech Wax 2.0
9) Smooth Surface Clay Kit

That should cover you for the most part.

And then can always go nuts with the glass cleaners, dressings, interior products, APC, wheel cleaner, tire shine... you'll be in deep soon.

In addition to the previous posts (in case you haven't done this already...)

Hand wash your Tacoma using the two-bucket washing technique with high quality car washing products:

- Grit Guards for the wash buckets
- A quality Car Wash - Gold Class, Ultimate Wash & Wax, NTX, etc. (your pick)
- Meg's Microfiber Wash Mitts (my favorite)
- Microfiber Waffle Drying towels (Meg's Water Magnet)

Proper & regular hand washing will really help maintain the show room quality.

I asked the same question here years ago and now I have about 40 different products on my shelves in the garage now.

I like the following:

NXT Wash for the monthly
Ultimate Wash for the weekly
Clay
Paint cleaner
Showroom Glaze
NXT Wax
Hi Tech Yellow wax
Gold Class trim dressing
NXT Protector
Rim Polish (Mag or Chrome)
NXT Tire dressing

I have about 20 polishing pads of different degrees and four water magnets

Have fun and watch your collection grow and grow and grow....

i've had my tacoma for a little over 3 years now and i still love it. although, a lot of people give me a hard time because i baby it so much and treat it more like a car than a truck. lol.
