I recently bought an Acura TSX a week ago. I bought couple Meguiar's product. I notice that after I washed it with the Gold class, while using generic microfiber cloth. Then I dry it with different microfiber cloth. Then I put on the NXT wax. It looked perfect yesterday, but today I notice there swirls marks on the hood. I made sure I dried the car before I waxed it. What do you think cause there to be some swirl marks? And how can I fix them? Would a higher quality microfiber prevent swirl marks? And what conditioner would you suggest for black leather? And do I already need to clay the car because when I wipe my hand over some part of the car I feel little bumps on the paint. Is it because I didn't wash it good enough? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Need help with new car
Is the car brand new, or new to you?
Either way, someone could have worked on it before, either a prep guy at a dealer, or previous owner to cause problems. Or, it could have been you. Often times, the dealer will put a temporary polish/wax on the car, and it soon washes off to show the damage.
Naturally, trying to use the best quality towels, applicators, etc will help prevent more damage.
Is there any chance of pics, so we can see more of what is going on?
As for your leather, the Gold Class Cleaner/Conditioner is a fine choice for general use, either the cream or gel. Apply, let sit a few minutes, then buff off excess with a dry towel.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Need help with new car
I will try to take pic later today. Right now I dont have one. The car is brand new. 2010 Tsx Girgio. I'm about to head to Pep boys so want to pick up a couple items. Do I need swirl remover from Meguiar? And I hand wax/polish everything. I bought 8 micro fiber for 10 dollars it not Meguiar cloth.. Should I buy better ones? or keep using these?

Re: Need help with new car
The cheapest I would use on my paint is the Vroom brand ones from Target, and that is only if needed.
There are other good brands besides Meguiars of course, but something in that ball park for paint is certainly best. I use my Vroom ones for glass, interior, etc.
If you are at the store anyway, I would look at buying the clay, SwirlX, and Ultimate Compound. (of course there are a million things you could buy in addition....) Those should deal with anything as much as possible by hand.
You'll likely become friends with Meguiars Direct, autodetailingsolutions.com, or autogeek.net if you really want to find the full selection of products in one place. The towels and applicators can be harder to find in stores.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Need help with new car
It's possible you saw the swirls after the day you waxed your TSX because either the NXT 2.0 accentuated the defects or you were viewing it under different lighting conditions. I can't say for certain, but regardless, good of you to want to remove those swirls.
SwirlX and/or Ultimate Compound are the cleaners of choice. I personally have only used the latter but even applying by hand, the results are excellent, if not immediate. Remember that the products carry micro-abrasives so they got to be worked into the paint (meaning you gotta rub it in to get rid of the swirls) and that they will remove wax in the process too. Reapply your NXT 2.0 afterwards.
I've bought one of Pep Boy's 8-pack microfiber towels. It comes in three different colors - yellow, blue, and green - and they're not bad to use on the car. Mind you, I've since bought Meguiar's Supreme Shine microfibers and the difference is that Meguiar's are bigger, more poofy and more plush. You can use the towels you got at Pep Boys as I have, no problem. I just find that because they're smaller, you gotta swap out for clean ones real often. But that's why we're all encouraged to have more.2003 Volkswagen Golf GL 2-Door (Manual) in Black / Beige

Re: Need help with new car
I have not used their brand, so dont know myself. You can always rub it on a spot and see, since you already have the swirls.
The SwirlX is milder, and the UC is stronger.
The SwirlX is good for general cleaning in the future. The SwirlX may or may not be strong enough to solve the swirl problem, so the UC may be needed. Hopefully with a bit of effort, that would solve it... some paints are harder to work on by hand than others.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Need help with new car
Thanks Murr ans Zaris. The swirls are not that noticeable now. Going to test the mf to see if they will leave swirl marks on an different area. I also have 2 quick detailer spray from meguiar I bought couple months ago. One is the Red bottle quick detailer, the other one is the NXT quick detailer. They are the same? and Do I use it for finish touch next time I wash the car?

Re: Need help with new car
One other thing to mention is that WHEN you buy a car at a dealership, the guys who detail the car can often PUT Swirls into the paint. My Father in law has been doing side work running Buicks and GMC's back and forth between CT, PA, NY, and NH and some of the cars he brings home look absolutely disgusting and if the dealership punk is required to get this thing looking good and blown out the door, then thats what he does.
The one Arcadia that I saw he brought home had dirt so attatched to the paint. I touched with my index and it did not even move, like it dried on after a good rain storm.
In that case I would have rinse, foam gunned the soap on there, let dwell, rinse, repeat 1-2 more times even before considering to hit it with a wash mitt and then that wash mitt was to be rinsed out every time before it hits the soap.
IMO toss the detailer bottles just get 2. Meg's Ultimate Quick Detailer and Meg's Ultimate Quick Wax. Both have a Hydrophobic Technology that help water repel and sheet off nicely. Between wax sessions, and basically after every wash hit it with the quick wax and a wipe off with a MF.
Speed detailer if used improperly often leaves swirls in the paint as most car need a wash, not a wipe down. Especially if left outside.

Re: Need help with new car
I think I'm going use the quick detail spray for when I need to clay the car. There is very minimum swirls right now. I did a full detail yesterday took around 6 hours. But I'm afraid if I don't take care of it now, it will get worse. The TSX is my first bought car and I want to keep it in amazing condition while I have it. I bought a lot of products for this car and after much reading I need more.Thank you guys for your help.

But Nxt Speed Detailer is still good, esp for bird droppings ,etc. No need to toss it.
UQD has a polymer coating in it which is nice for after a future wash. UQW is even better.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
