Hey guys, just bought an '02 M3 and have two questions; my car has the factory wheels so I asume theyre clear-coated aluminum..does anyone know if this is correct? I can call the dealer but not sure how to describe my wheels to them. Also, in the Engine Detailing section Meguiars recommends using "a general purpose cleaner" for metal engine parts...any recommendations? Thanks, CB

Re: New Guy w/wheel and engine question
Take some Aluminum metal polish, do a test spot, IF the cloth turns black its bare polished aluminum. IMO it should be clear coated from factory, UNLESS a prev owner stated they stripped the clear.....
Buy a gallon of Super Degreaser Concentrate. Check out my post on using it. FYI all cars are different, SOME do NOT allow for direct water to be used on the engine, SO be aware of that. IF your engine has that issue, you can still clean this with minimal water and a rag.
