    Bumpers Detailing

    hi,

    i applied the same procedure i do on normal car pannels
    1- Ultimate compound
    2- ColorX

    the bumpers' paint still shows swirls...
    any special treatment?

    can anyone share his experience?

    The bumpers can be different paint, but the overall idea should be the same.

    Did swirls improve, or seem to move around, etc?

      no major improvement.
      i am using a 4" light cut pad with ultimate compound.
      5 overlapping passes @ nearly 1 cm/s hand speed.
      then reapply colorx with a polishing pad. finish with UQD.

      the above is working wonderfully on the car panels. Unfortunately the swirls and light scratches are still showing on the bumpers.

      the car is VW if this can be of help.
