        Re: Foam Gun Question

I've started mixing NXT and Gold class in the bottle, 2oz of each . It works well and I end up using about a half of a container per car.

            Re: Foam Gun Question

Amazon has this model "Gilmour 75QGFMR Foamaster Adjustable Multi Ratio Cleaning Gun" which I believe is the Autogeek model for $42.99...$5 less than Autogeek and has free shipping from Amazon. That's the best deal I've found. The Autogeek writeup, however, is the best description of how to use it.

I used 2oz of DP Extreme foam with my gun and it *****. I did not get much foam on the car. I might have to increase the DP or add NXT.

I have definitly high hopes for this gun. I need to order one soon. I was working on sucking out stains with APC and APC+ this weekend. Also got to really get used to Meg's Wash/Wax, nice stuff!

It just sprays soapy water, nothing miraculous.

                      Re: Foam Gun Question

I love my Gilmour and Supersoap. I started with 4 to 5 oz mentioned above and played with it 'til I got more experience. Now I just adjust the solution to the desired dwell time given the "fur" on the paint.

I tend to rely on experience of others rather than marketing and theory. If I get that experience/help from Megs forum, I go with ADS and Megs products. If from another forum I go with ADS or that forum if it is close enough to warrant the shipping.

I tried it with MY foam gun, and yes, it does not perform as well. It's great on regular hand car wash, but not with the foam gun. Also, it's not really economical to use UW&W every week (or more) with the foam gun. However, I still love to car wash shampoo: the richness, the smell and the way it looks after the wash.
