Pretty much anything you do after washing it will shine it up.

lol!!, i just checked swissvax website, i'll rather save my balance!!, no way am i spending that ridiculous amount just for a few strips......so i guess theres nothing else that can be done for matt paint.

With matte paint, you can wash it, and that's pretty much it. Scratch removers will go ahead and smooth out the matt paint and make it glossy and so will polish. Pretty much you're stuck with a scratch if you have matte paint.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
          Remove swirls my friends.

Glass cleaners work pretty well, as does Ultimate Quik Detailer, for removing fingerprints (which can be a really big issue with matte paints) and light dust. Remember, that's Ultimate Quik Detailer, NOT Ultimate Quik Wax! Huge difference in this application.

But the others are right - any fine scratches that you try to remove will leave you with a shiny area much larger than the scratch was. You may be able to see the scratch from a foot away, but try polishing it out and you'll see the shiny spot from a block away!!
