Use the M105 (or Ultimate Compound) with a polishing pad, M205 with a finishing pad. No need to wait between the two - correct everything with the M105 or UC first, working section by section and wiping off the product as you go. Then move on to M205 and basically repeat what you did with the previous process.

Re: Power Polisher for Bad Back

I want to thank EVERYONE for their input on my question. You all have helped me out a great deal.

I'm planning to get the Meguiar's orbital as well as see if I can find a doctor's stool on Craigslist or something. What really hurts my back is the hunching over and the scrubbing. If I can eliminate that, I think I can work on my car without causing much more pain than I normally have.

I'd been really upset because I realized that the Turtle Wax bug and tar left some kind of etching or swirl marks where it touched when I was removing adhesive (and stupid me I didn't use masking tape).

But I'm realizing its not worth getting upset over...especially two days before I'm supposed to be having my hip rebuilt.

I'm planning to get what I need polish the paint as soon as I'm able to work again (planning to use 105/205). And if it turned out to be a real long recovery, or my back just isn't good enough, I can always pay someone to give it a good polish and get rid of the etching.

So, it may be a while before I can give the car good polish, but I'll let you all know how it comes out.
