You can use 303 Convertible top cleaner and the protectant or go with the Raggtopp kit. You will need to find out if its cloth or vinyl first to get the right one for it.

Is that a Meguiars product? I haven't been able to find anything in the stores.

Is it a fabric or vinyl top?

Re: Which product to use on a convertible's roof?

I've had my convertible for over a year. It was four years old when I got it, an "guru" on another forum said that, for my cloth fabric top, to use "303 Fabric Guard Water Repellent" made by 303 Products, Inc.

I used it, last fall, love the stuff! Turned the black top even darker, water beads up like nobody's business, too! Put it on in four THIN coats. One $25 bottle will do two treatments on a Crossfire (that's a total of eight THIN coats).

You can order it online or find it at some shops that work on convertible tops. A local top repair shop ordered it for me, (they ordered a CASE of it, actually.)

Again, do THIN coats and cover the car to keep the stuff off your paint (I got some on a window and alcohol took it right off).

                Here it is:

They say to use this to clean a fabric top first, if needed, but I've never tried it.

I was just about to do the second treatment this week - like I said, it's been 10 months or so since I did it the last time.
My car sits inside 95% of hte time - you may need to use it a few times a year.

303 is not a Meg's product. It is usually found at marine supply stores. Here is a link to retailers in the U.S.

Need a product right away? Gold Eagle's products can be found at these fine retailers: Please enter your zip code and select brand for product offering at retail partners. Please check specific product availability by calling the store before you visit.

For the cloth top on my BMW I order the 303 from Amazon. I wish I had discovered it long ago.

But last year, before treating it, I used Renovo soft top revival blue dye.
