  • The Best Metal Polysh PERIOD

NXT metal polysh is the best metal product I have ever used, hands down. I've used Flitz, Blue Magic, Mother's Billet, Nevr-Dull, Simichrome, Meguiar's Aluminum and many more, some with better results than others (Nevr-Dull is still a part of my arsenal). However, nothing works quite as well as NXT. It is simply amazing how it powers through the worst oxidation and dullness in any metal. I frequently use it on customer's cars, most noteably on my last Click and Brag thread on a 1964 Corvette with an (un)polished aluminum blower and engine block. My customer and I were both impressed, I also used the NXT on a Powerball mini on the aluminum wheels, check the pictures!

Here is the progress I have made after my first application of NXT metal polysh using a Mother's Powercone followed by a light hand application on a MF on the doorsills in my 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. After a couple more applications via Powercone, I am sure it can come even closer to a mirror shine. Still have a few rough looking spots that will need some serious working but I can't wait to see where it goes.

Who else has some major love for NXT? I have no idea why it would be discontinued, but I am definitely going to buy at least 2 more tubs as I have only 1/2 have a tub left.

Where did you get then info. that NXT All Metal Polysh is being discontinued?

The Body by Fisher sill kick plates (or whatever you call them) look fantastic. I'm almost laughing at how good they look. I've had them in a number of vehicles and never gave them any love. Now that's going to be the first thing you notice when you open the door. People are going to be lifting their feet as they get in the car so they don't dirty them.

I'm a fan of NXT metal polysh. I don't have as much experience with the polishes as you do, but from my limited experience I really like it. I'm glad to know I don't need to check all the other ones out.

I've used Hot Rims Mag & Aluminum Polish to get some of the stuff that the NXT wasn't quite strong enough to get, and then I finished of with the NXT. The NXT will give a mirror like finish and removed the fine scratches the Hot Rims left behind.

Mike said it was similar, never used it myself.

Perhaps in its chemical cleaning abilities, but I think out of the two NXT is the only one to utilize diminishing abrasives. Wouldn't that make it more aggressive?

Nxt is paint safe in case of user error, M&A isnt.

              Dont know about the abrasives.

Thanks Calais. That's sad. I thought it was the best selling metal polish in the Megs line-up.

I have used the marine polish a couple of times great stuff. If it is similar to the NXT, I can see why you like it so much.

James, the difference between the polished and unpolished is just crazy. I too love the NXT AMP.

That's unfortunate that it's being discontinued. I literally just recommended one of my clients to pick some up.

The funny thing is, I didn't even go too crazy this time figuring I will give it a few applications over time and get a etter result. Unfortunately some of the scratches and imperfections may run too deep to fix, but I consider it a challenge, besides it looks way better than it ever did.

BTW: NXT Polysh being discontinued is not a new development, its been on the discontinued list for quite a while. Maybe one of the Mike's can tell us when exactly it was announced?
