Layering: Nxt first then a carnauba paste?

Any benefits to putting down a good coat of NXT and then finishing with a good paste wax like PS21? Is this the correct order, and will this add shine? Thanks, Jim

With this combination, you will get the lasting ability of the NXT. while providing deeper look to your paint with the carnauba wax. Carnauba will also give you a good lasting protection in addition too your NXT..

It really is all up to you. You can lay down a coat of NXT 2.0 and then top it with a carnauba wax like P21S. Some prefer the look of carnauba but like the longevity of a sealant so use the a little from both worlds. You should do a few test spots to see.

Tape off a few sections on the hood and do something different on each sections On one section, layer NXT 2.0 and P21S. On another lay down only NXT 2.0 and on another lay down only P21S and see which section you like the best.

Yes this is the right order and, while the carnauba topper is not required, i personally like the look. One thing to consider is the coating process. Some people here will tell you that if you are topping with carnauba you only need one coat of NXT. I have found that the look and performance is much better if i go ahead and double coat the NXT and then top with carnauba. Remember you need to wait 8-12 hours min between each application.

I am doing the same, today i did the cleaners, glaze, and 1st coat of NXT, tomorrow i will do a second coat and tues the #26.

I usually do the 2.0 (NXT) then top it with Meguiars M16 carnuba. Just gives it a little extra....

Is the #26 a Carnauba? I guess my main concern is putting down the NXT and then if I top it off with another product, that it would have a negative effect on the NXT.

Yes, M26 is a Carnauba wax. No, it will have not have a negative effect on the NXT, assuming you let the NXT properly cure ~12 hours prior to applying the M26.

before topping with 26 the next day should i UQD? car will be sitting ouside for the 12 hour cure period.

I like the combo of NXT 2.0 topped with Gold class carnuaba.

This car is less then a year old, but it was used as a new car loaner at the local Lexus dealer, so it had lots of little scratches, car wash brush marks, etc.
