I've never seen a thread about the aggressive clay.
My nearly twenty year old caprice has all original paint.
    How strong is the stuff?
I want to clean it up as much as I can some time before I straightened out, shaved, blended up, and spray fresh clear everywhere.

How badly contaminated is the surface? If you're finding that you need a lot of passes with the consumer clay, try stepping up to the C2000 mild blue clay first. It's a pretty noticeable step up and will speed through some pretty nasty stuff. The C2100 aggressive red clay should only be used in cases of extreme contamination and when you intend to machine polish after use. It is aggressive enough that in many cases it will haze the paint.

I love the blue clay with Last Touch 50/50

I use the white clay for windows.

it's not really severe, it's just bad and old. The roof would probably take 7+ passes with a white claybar. Everything else would need 3-4.
        I do plan on using 105/205 with a g110.

IMHO you should always polish after claying in the 1st place, but aggressive clay will leave much heavier micromarring. It won't matter all that much if you're planning on doing multiple polishing steps anyways. Because of the age of your car, it would be a good idea to deep claen the paint prior to claying with some APC/yellow bug block. It will break up the embedded junk trapped on top of your paint to let the clay to a more effective job.

On my last detail job, I used Body Solvent to remove a lot of the contaminates, that I otherwise would have had to use clay to remove. I'm not saying Body Solvent is a substitute for claying, but it saved me quite a bit of labor and clay prior to claying. Sometimes a mild chemical is the least aggressive and most effective method of removing contaminants. It really depends on the nature of the contaminants.
