i know colorx has more cleaning power, but is the polish in it better/more and is the wax protection better or the same?

I think ColorX looks a bit better, not sure from what.

Meguiar's calls ColorX a Cleaner Wax on steroids. Its cleaning ability is quite limited. I recommend to clay before using a cleaner wax.Comment

ColorX cleans and polishes better than Cleaner Wax due to its newer technology. However you can never achive 2-step or 3-step like results with it. SwirlX/ Tech Wax 2.0 will still give much better shine. For quick 1-step I recommend Paint Reconditioning Cream or M66 Quik Detailer.Comment
