    M07 difference

    I have never used a Meguiars pure polish before so I got some M07 yesterday. I was wondering if it will actually make a difference on a Gray car with a clear coat. Just wondering. (when applied during the 5 step system)

    Another question that I had was that if I top the polish off with a wax, (GC,NXT,26) would the polish's wet look still be visible? I plan on using GC Carnauba Wax but will go get some M26 (pure carnauba) if it is necessary.

    I used M07 twice now and probably will not touch it again. Honestly, after using swirl-X or #80 or something prior, there is little to no effect adding M07 on top of it. It personally is not worth the extra work for me. And this was used on black and a red vehicle. Prime candidates for a pure polish.

        I have used M07 on relatively new black and a silver cars following SwirlX and did not see a difference versus an area I did with just SwirlX and wax. The paint looked great mind you; just not noticeably better than SwirlX and Wax alone. The impact of M07 may be more noticeable on older paint.

        That said; I am a huge fan of Wash/Clay/ColorX/Wax (I use NXT on the silver and #26 on the Black).

          I mean, SwirlX and the other paint products already contain polishing oils and such. I honestly could not tell a difference side-by-side once it already had been clayed, Swirl-X'/#80, etc...

          It may be more useful on older cars like mentioned. The other Meg products already do well enough for me.

            It does an amazing job on older, neglected finishes, especially single stage paints. You may not notice a difference on a newer or well cared for vehicle.

              While M07 is hands down my most favorite product in the entire Meguiar's line, I agree that its most profound difference is with single-stage paint. IMO, using it on a BC/CC finish is kinda redundant when you've already applied a product with some polish content. However, when I'm doing a freshen-up on a BC/CC car with no real defects, my normal procedure is clay, M07, NXT and maybe M26 or Collinite 845 as an LSP. In that situation, I still feel the added depth with M07 is worth the additional effort, especially on a medium or dark color.
