  • paint restorer - corvette

    Hi,
I hope someone can help me and that there is a product made to help. I have a 1970 corvette that has never been repainted. The paint is really not to bad where I don;t have the spider webs from the fiberglass the paint shines pretty well. I would like to see if there is a product that can help with the spider webs. Is there a product that has color to match my car..... every time I wax my car they seem to show up more cause of the dried wax color...
    Thanks Dave

    Re: paint restorer - corvette

Halo-scratches - (swirl marks or spider webs) which, when the light reflects off the raised edges of the scratches, appear to be circular but in reality they are made up of numerous straight line random scratches which are caused by washing, drying and everyday wear and tear. Some are surface marring, whereas others can be deep into the clear coat.

A machine polisher and an abrasive polish will remove them

You should give SwirlX a try, or if you have access to the Professional line, #80 Speed glaze. My midyears respond extremely well to #80, being original lacquer paint.

I used M80 on a 1966 survivor corvette (original paint, original everything) and that worked very well.
