ok so i just went to the store and got.a the ultimate wash and wax, the smooth serface clay kit with the cleaner wax sample, the nxt tech wax2.0. and the ultimate compond. is this all i need? or do i need to get a couple more hings t get best results? im goig to wash and wax tonight so any help with a step by step guide will be very helpful to me guys thank you.!

Being old SS paint, I would want a pure polish after the UC.

thats the only thing i didnt get was the deep crystal polish. wal mart didnt have any of it.

The UC may take you a while if you go slow, so may be able to do it tomorrow. Do a test spot of course, dont go and do everything and then see your technique wasnt right. Be sure to use even pressure, not your finger tips.

Or you can look at something like SwirLX and a polish for a follow up detail next time.

1 i washed.

2 clay and mist and got the paint smooth as glass.

3 i used the uc. wiped on and wiped right of without lettng it dry. it didnt work. still hazing and fading and dull spots;
4 waxed 2 time. paint looks good but could look better. i se the faded spots still and the paint dont look as glossy as it sshould. i seen wetter wax. and i se some scratches. can somone help me. i spent 50 bucks on this stuff and it dont seem like its working like it says it does, the uc is just like i buff on and wipe off and it still looks the same when i wipe it off,like it hasnt done a thing to get rid of the faded spots and oxidisation, and the wax should be more deeper and more of a wet look like a car show shine,

It sounds like you may have not worked the UC quite long enough if you just wiped it on and then wiped it off.

i wiped in until i felt like it almost started to want to dry. them it wiped off pretty easyand the faded and dull hazing were still there. thanks.

ok. so now im going to ty this again.
1 wash.

3clean uc. should i do this one time then wait 15 mnts and do it again?
4 i didnt use the crystal polish i just went from the uc to the tech wax 2.0. should i use the deep crystalpolish b4 the wax? then wax 1 time with the tech 2.0 let dry. then wax with the 2.0 again? thanks for your help guys.

Wiped is not the right word. If your shoulder was not tired after the front fender, you didnt do it right.

A cleaner needs worked in. If the car had soft springs, it would be rocking on them as you worked it in.

Like I said, dont do the whole car until one panel looks right. Just pick a fender, and stay there.

Here is some clips from an old video of using the previous ScratchX version, the ideas would be similar. May be even be able to google the rest of the video.

How to correctly apply ScratchX to remove swirls and scratches

Now you may need one or two coats, and that is fine. No need to wait, just apply the UC, work it in, and apply some more if needed.

Once you have the panel looking good from the UC, then you should use the DC Polish. The polish and wax wont make the big changes, the UC should have the panel looking good before you move on.
