  • Car Wash

Owners manual says to check the car wash labels/instructions to determine that it contains no harsh ingredients that could damage the car name emblems and other plastics.

Since I did not see any comments on the Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner Wash label about damage to plastics, am assuming that the Gold Cass Wash is just fine for washing the car including the wheels per instructions. Is this assumption correct?

Another vote for Gold Class as a good wash for just about any car. No complaints with it after 4 years of use on my Chevy Colorado and Ford Escape.

Go ahead and use Gold Class Shampoo.

You will be fine using this product to wash all the exterior surfaces of your car.

            Re: Car Wash

The only times we see people having issues with Gold Class Shampoo, or any of our other car wash shampoos, is when they use way too much product and/or wash a hot car in direct sunlight and don't rinse it off. But that's going to be true of ANY soap from ANY manufacturer.

Just remember to follow the dilution recommendations on the bottle - 1 ounce per gallon of water - and consider that you most likely are only putting 3 gallons (give or take) of water into a typical 5 gallon wash bucket.

Meguiar's Gold Class line is one that most are judged by. I've never had an issue using any products in this line but reading the instructions once in a while may help allot, it did me!

So I shouldn't have ordered a gallon of D112 Super Soap?

                  I had a difficult enough time decided between D112, D111, and D110.

I think I'm going to order all three + GC and just mix them together.

I found this to be TRUE. So, I labeled my HOME DEPOT orange bucket from 1 to 4 gallons on the side. Not only that I will save money (not wasting product) but also get the best out of my car wash.

One trick I found years ago was to wash you HANDS with a little car soap. How does it feel on your skin? Does it have a burning feel? Drying feel? Feel like Avon Skin Cream?

Get the idea? Bad on skin...worse on the vehicle.

Great advice. I personally have not used NXT car wash in years, not offered around here. I have been using Gold Class and love it. I also use a ton of Ultimate Wash/Wax for upkeep.
