Ultimate Protectant should work very well for you as it won't run off when you wash the car.

Have you used anything on it already, and if so, what? Just want to make sure you haven't put anything on that might cause an issue for UP.

In the past I used Gold Class, Dash and Trim Foam since it was non greasy and a foam application. I like the results I got but it does not last with the hot sun. On a plus side, foam would not leave residue on my car cover, this is why I chose the product over a specific vinyl dressing.

Will Ultimate Protect ant leave anything on the cover? The problem in the past has been other products transfers to the cover and then on to the paint when the cover slides on.

UP should not transfer onto your cover. UP utilizes some pretty specialized polymers that allow it to bond to a vinyl surface in much the same way wax bonds to your paint. Just make sure you clean the vinyl top thoroughly with something like M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner before applying UP.

          I agree with Michael.

UP feels completely dry and non-greasy to the touch, so it shouldn't come off onto your car cover.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

thanks guys! The UP was the best product I have ever used on my Vinyl top.

Top took 2 good coats before I buffed it out to a nice even shine. The UP made my top feel conditioned and soft to top everything off so I'm not sure about the product transferring on to the cover. After letting the top dry for an hour I rubbed a small test section and the UP did transfer from the towel onto the paint but that was with rubbing. Time will tell if this transfers to the cover.

            Thanks again

The mustang was built for my wife and I stole her color choice when the new Avalanche came out. Pictures really dont do the mustangs paint justice. The flake used in the paint gives it yellow tones as well.
